Use Berkey Water Purifiers and Water Filters for Better Water

I am in no way compensated for writing this review. I want to share with you my own personal experience in dealing with Berkey water filters because they have made a tremendous difference in my life and am confident they will do the same for you.

When I moved to a new city, I was horrified when I noticed a trend in people’s houses – everyone had water coolers in their homes. Strange… I had seen water coolers in people’s homes before, but not on any sort of consistent basis. Turns out everyone had a reason for keeping these water coolers – the water in the city was horrible!

An aging pipe system, a sketchy municipal purification system, and just general urban sprawl had lead to horrible quality drinking water for everyone. To cope with this, many people paid private companies to deliver gigantic water bottles to their doorstep instead of drink the municipal water.

Worst yet, comparing the bottled water to the municipal water, I could taste and smell the difference! It was disgusting! But I didn’t want to have to pay for expensive bottled water!

I told some of my friends this, and one of them recommended a Berkey Water Purification system to me. A Berkey? I had never heard of it before.

The Berkey is not just a filter, but something else entirely. By law, it is actually classified as a water purification system. The difference is the Berkey can actually produce drinkable water from non-potable sources. It removes all foreign substances, chemicals, and toxins to deliver pure drinking water unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. You could literally fill it’s basin with ground runoff or water from a stagnant lake and you would have safe drinking water relatively quickly.

The Berkey is not like your Brita filter at all. Brita leaves tons of unbelievable things behind because it’s just essentially charcoal in their filters, things like heavy metals, detergents, pharmaceuticals, volatile organic compounds, and parasitic cysts. For all of these, the Berkey filters them out to undetectable levels. Berkey filter elements work without power by harnessing gravity and process up to 4 gallons an hour. Best yet, two elements together last for up to 6000 gallons! We're talking about not months, but years worth of water here. Believe me; this is much cheaper than water delivery and pays for itself rather quickly.

Again, I am not paid for this review. I am telling you this from my own experience. I personally own a Berkey Lite and recommend it to all my friends. The taste, the smell, even the mouth feel of the water (The water smells fresh and not metallic like before! The taste is crisp and clear where before it was just awful! The feel is soft whereas it used to be hard!) are simply unbeatable. I can’t even drink bottled water anymore – I have to bring my own with me, because it’s that good.

Furthermore, I noticed improvements in my health almost immediately. My skin cleared up. I felt more energized. I just felt better all around. So did my roommates, who got to use the filter because I brought it in to the house.

I will never go back to municipal water. I will always own a Berkey and plan on installing their showerheads as well. I personally own a Berkey Light, which is great for my setup. It’s inexpensive, it’s efficient, it’s green, it’s durable, and the health benefits are tremendous. There are bigger Berkeys available, and they are very nice. Find the right one for you. Buy one and consider it an investment in your health. You’ll never go back to drinking horrible water again and your body will thank you for it.
